As this year comes to an end, we want to take a moment to pause and look back, not to summarise everything we did, but to acknowledge what has been built together. And to look forward to the following year.

This past year marked an essential step for Flower of Sound. We finally launched our website: a place where people can explore and purchase immersive audio experiences, and where we share long-form articles on immersive sound and modern well-being.

What matters most to us is the community that is forming around it. We’re deeply thankful for everyone reading along, sharing thoughts, and supporting our work by subscribing, listening, and responding. Behind the scenes, this year was also about groundwork. A lot of it. We’ve been building further towards Flower of Sound as a long-term project, refining our message, our formats, and our production methods.

And we’re happy to finally say that we’re progressing with the Flower of Sound Lab, which we expect to open in early spring next year. A physical space for listening, research, production, and collaboration.

Sound, Spaces, and Modern Well-Being

Next year, we’ll also focus more on bringing sound into spaces and events,  from listening environments and installations to well-being contexts and curated experiences. If you’re working on a space, event, or concept where immersive sound could play a role, feel free to reach out.

Alongside this, we’ll continue writing and sharing what we consider common sense in an increasingly noisy field: what sound actually does, what it doesn’t do, and how spatial audio can be used meaningfully for modern well-being. If there’s a topic you’d like us to explore, you can always write to us.

What’s Coming Next

Looking ahead, we expect AI to have an increasing impact on how websites are found, to how music circulates and is produced. As more AI-generated music enters the market, our focus remains unchanged: Made By Humans for Humans.

At the moment, AI still cannot produce accurate immersive spatial audio in a meaningful way, and that limitation is telling. It’s one of the developments we’re watching closely.

There’s a lot ahead, including a lot of new releases. This year was the foundation. Next year, things start to move. Thank you for being part of this.

Have a remarkable turn of the year, with hopefully some relaxing days

and stay Tuned

See you next year!
